“At first I did not think that this TEFL course would teach me anything useful. But I was wrong. Even though I am an experienced teacher, and I have experienced working abroad too in China, I did learn useful things.

The course covers all the basics of teaching English abroad in an excellent manner. It will for sure give beginners the tools they need to succeed.

The course is presented in a very easy to follow format. The organization of the lessons, the exercises and the quizzes is very well done. I think this helps finish the course in the least amount of time possible.

Choosing a career after University is tough, you go in for your course with something that resembles an idea of a job for when you leave and as graduation gets closer you realize a half-formed idea won’t get you very far. I was in my final year when I finally found something that I wanted to do with my life, bar being rich and famous. That was to become a TEFL Teacher.

Finding the GetTEFL website on the opportunities section of the University board was the first step to me deciding what I wanted to do. I’ve worked many different kinds of jobs from being a monster in a Halloween event at a theme park to answering the phones for multiple companies in a call centre. I knew these jobs were only stepping stones. Taking this course was the next step towards having a career.

I have thoroughly enjoyed taking this course and have found Sarah to be a great help when I needed it. The course was informative, it made me more excited at the opportunities and experiences the job provided. Having taken this course I feel like I’m ready to travel the world and teach”. Esme

Sanae has provided us with an update on what it has been like teaching English in China.

“After I completed my TEFL, I got many job offers in China and I decided to make the big move and join one of the schools. I love the country and everything about it. The people are very helpful, caring and super friendly. The food is great and there are many things to do and to see.

My school is great and the staff are all wonderful! I teach kids from 3 to 14 years old. They are all amazing and they love English.

My TEFL course helped me handle many different situations, especially with young learners in a new country.” Sanae
